WHAT ARE EFORMS?
ATF's eForms allows individuals and members of the firearms industry to file certain forms electronically rather than via paper applications. The electronic filing is designed to be more efficient and accurate and will allow ATF to process the submissions more efficiently.
HOW DO I CREATE AN EFORMS ACCOUNT?
To create an eForms account, visit eforms.atf.gov to start the process. You will then receive your username from the ATF (they pick it, you do not) and choose a password and PIN (you pick it, they do not).
5 SIMPLE STEPS
Fill out your personal information ( Name, E-mail, Address, and Phone Number)
Set a security question
Create a Password ( Must be 12 characters, a number, special character and upper/lowercase)
Create a 4 digit pin
Copy down the generated username at the top of the page and complete your registration!
If you already have an eForms account, you must change your password for the new updates to take effect. You can request a new password through the password reset option on the site. Once you’ve changed your password, the system will ask you to update your user profile information and create a security PIN.

If filing your eForm as an Individual, you MUST certify in person
if filing your eForm as a Trust, we can certify remotely online (an appointment is still needed to ensure we are both able to be online to complete the process).
Frequently asked Questions
CAN I STILL MAIL PAPER FORMS?
Yes, paper form 4 applications may still be created in store and mailed to the ATF along with required supporting documentation and NFA Tax Stamp payment. Average processing time varies but current estimate is about 10 months.
CAN I CHANGE MY PAPER FORM SUBMISSION TO AN EFORM?
If you have already started your application through the paper process, then you need to stay on that path. It is NOT recommended to withdraw paper applications
The ATF has stated “any withdrawals of pending paper applications will result in a one-year delay.”
CAN I USE MY SILENCER SHOP ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE SUPPRESSORS?
Yes, if you already have a Silencer Shop account with your data linked, we can process your electronic forms through their “Full Auto” eForms process. Additionally, if purchasing directly from us we can link the item to your Silencer Shop account (a $25 fee per item applies).
