Team Member

Job Summary: Team Members are responsible for the safety of all Anchor Point customers and staff. They must be knowledgeable about the operation of firearms and assist customers in finding the perfect fit for their target shooting, hunting or self-protection needs. Team members organize, conduct and supervise safe shooting activities and range operations for all shooters. This includes providing range orientation and assisting shooters on the line. They will ensure that the entire facility and all operations are maintained at the highest standards.

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

MUST PASS CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK. 

Immediate Supervisor: Sales Manager 

Essential Functions

  • Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Anchor Point 

  • Monitor all activity on the live fire range 

  • Assist customers with appropriate lane and target operation 

  • Promote and smoothly execute instructional programs and shooting events 

  • Know and follow emergency response plans as required 

  • Keep facility sanitary and neat 

  • Maintain productive relationships with established customers 

  • Attend training as required 

  • Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance 

  • Adhere to Anchor Point policies 

  • Must be a team player and work well in a group setting. 

  • Must have a courteous and outgoing personality with everyone

  • Learn and implement Anchor Point customer service policies & procedures. 

  • Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude. 

  • Greet customers with enthusiasm. 

  • Ask questions and listen to evaluate customer needs. 

  • Recommend the appropriate products and accessories based on the customer's needs. 

  • Maintain merchandise on the sales floor with respect to presentation and stock numbers. 

  • Responsible for accuracy with state and federal background check forms. 

  • Maintain current knowledge of products, the firearms culture, and state and federal firearms laws 

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, under pressure, and meet deadlines. 

  • Receiving shipments and working with the Point of Sale system. 

Additional Responsibilities  

  • Special projects as assigned by supervisors

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 

  • Must be able to stand/sit for long periods of time 

Qualifications 

  • 21 years or older 

  • Must pass drug test (including Marijuana) 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 

  • Highly self-motivated/able to work with minimal direction 

  • Naturally friendly and positive daily attitude 

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities 

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to carry out directives efficiently 

  • Proficient with handguns, rifles 

  • Desire to learn new skills and accept responsibility

 ** Once hired, Team Members must pass the NRA Certified Range Officer test with a score of 90% or higher
